COVID 19 update - Manitoba in Restricted (RED) Level
Provincial Response Level: CRITICAL
Community spread of COVID-19 is not contained and/or there are significant strains on our health care system. As of Thurday, November 12, the province of Manitoba moved to the Critical level (red) on the #RestartMB Pandemic Response System to halt COVID-19 transmission and protect Manitoba's most vulnerable citizens.
Updated public health orders went into effect November 20 at 12:01 a.m. and will further restrict gatherings at private residences and allow critical retailers to only sell essential items. These restrictions will be in place until at least December 11, 2020.

Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce is seeking a new Administrative Specialist
The ACC is currently looking to hire a new Administrative Specialist, who will play a significant role in continuing to build ACC’s value to Indigenous businesses in Manitoba. In addition to facing the short-term challenges created by the pandemic, ACC is undertaking several projects that create added strategic value for our Indigenous business members. INDIGENOUS BUSINESS STABILIZATION PROGRAM (IBSP)
One of the Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce’s own members, First Peoples Economic Growth Fund (FPEGF), has been designated to help First Nations businesses access the program – which provides eligible businesses with financing up to $40,000.
The Fund allows eligible businesses up to a maximum financing amount of $40,000, comprised of a 25% non-repayable contribution and a 75% interest-free loan to be repaid within 48 months. The application process is not complicated, and the people at FPEGF are there to help you along the way.

Please be advised that the new Manitoba Bridge Grant will provide an immediate non-repayable, taxable, one-time grant of $5,000 to eligible Manitoba businesses and organizations that are required to fully close their premises to the public as a result of Manitoba COVID-19 Prevention Orders.
